Nine Movies To Look For Online

By Raquel Sosa

Until recently, if you wanted to watch a movie, a trip to a video store like blockbuster was your only option. High speed internet access has now made it possible to download movies right off a movie download site. You can get virtually any movie you want with a good movie download site. Here are some examples.

Heartland Reggae: Shoddy documentary of '78 show remembering a visit to Jamaica by Haile Selassie. The music makes it worth watching. Cast includes Bob Marley and the Wailers, Peter Tosh, and Althea and Donna. (87 minutes, 1980)

Along Came A Spider: The daughter of a senator has been kidnapped, from right under the noses of the secret service. The kidnapper only wants to deal with criminal psychologist Alex Cross. From here there is deceit and manipulation, as the kidnapper tries to fulfill his plans.

Bewitched: Isabelle is a witch, living in the San Fernando Valley, and trying to not use her supernatural powers. She finds herself being wooed by actor Jack Watt to play the role of Samantha the witch in a remake of the old 1960's sitcom Bewitched. What a strange twist of fate.

Alias Betty: So-so tirade-thriller charting the corkscrewing occurrences that happen while a little boy dies in a mishap and his spiritually disconnected nana abducts another youngster to take his place. Opening scenes are fascinating, although tale weighs down as it gets engaged with too numerous irrelevant characters. Cast includes Sandrine Kiberlain, Nicple Garcia, Mathilde Seigner, Fortune Mervil, Edouard Baer, and Stephane Freiss. (101 minutes, 2001)

The Transgression of Madelon Claudet: First-rate, fast moving soap in the Madame X vein, in regards to a lady who sacrifices everything so her misbegotten child can have an excellent life. Hayes won an Oscar depicting female who goes from bumpkin to Parisian sophisticate to agonizing mommy to haggard streetwalker-and she's super. Cast includes Helen Hayes, Lewis Rock, Neil Hamilton, Robert Youthful, Cliff Edwards, Jean Hersholt, Marie Prevost, Karen Morley, Charles Winninger, Alan Hale, and Frankie Darro. (73 minutes, 1931)

The Horrible Dr. Hitchcock: Clueless that her physician spouse is a psycho! A necrophilia female goes along with him to the mansion where his first spouse evidently died twelve years before throughout sensual games. Cast includes Robert Fleming, Barbara Steele, Teresa Fitzgerald, and Maria Teresa Vianello. (76 minutes, 1962)

The Night of the Triffids: Meteor exhibit blinds everyone who watched, when transmutes experimental plants into mammoth, strolling man-eaters. This was based on John Wyndham's classic sci-fi novel. Changeable and is absurd as it gets. Cast includes Howard Keel, Nicole Maurey, Janette Scott, Kieron Moore, and Mervyn Johns. (95 minutes, 1963)

Knocked Up: A drunken, one-night-stand encounter between a young, attractive go getter Allison,, and a slovenly slacker, Ben, changes the tracks their lives are on. It turns out he didn't use the condom, and she's pregnant. Can these two actually become a couple and raise a child together?

They Only Kill Their Masters: Incredible cast in difficult modem-night whodunit set in coastal California town; tries for Daniel Hammett sensation, doesn't relatively make it. Cop Garner tries to solve slaughter of pregnant female, with formidable Doberman pinscher computing prominently. Not poor, however a disappointment. Cast includes James Garner, Katharine Ross, Hal Holbrook, Harry Guardino, June Allyson, Peter Lawford, and Ann Rutherford. (97 minutes, 1972)

CD Box Sets & New Rock Band Video Game: 9/9/9 Is Beatles Day

By Jamie T. Winston

The Holidays come early for Beatles fanatics this year. September 9th is the day when the new remastered Beatles CDs finally come out after wait of over 20 years.

The Beatles first released their albums on CD in the 1980s and at that time CD technology was still quite new. The mastering done for those CD is considered to be of inferior quality, which is why Beatles fans have been impatiently waiting for these new remastered CDs.

The remastered CDs are not the only Beatles stuff coming out on 9/9/9, there's also the original mono mixes of their albums through 1968's The White Album being released on CD.

These new mono mix CDs will be the first time that many younger Beatles fans get to hear these albums as they were originally intended to be heard because it's the first time that the mono mixes have ever been on CD.

The mono mixes interest people today because some think of them as the "real" versions of these albums. So even though mono is now an outdated way of mixing, there is reason to want to hear these mixes today.

Mono was the standard at the time and because of that The Beatles spent a lot more time on the mono mixes than they did on the stereo mixes. In fact the stereo mixes were thrown together rather hastily in comparison.

Some claim that the mono versions of Sgt. Pepper & Revolver are far better than the stereo mixes. Those of us who grew up with the stereo versions find that hard to believe, but I think we are very curious to hear what these old timers are talking about, too.

The new Beatles Rock Band game also comes out on 9/9/9. I'm not a huge video game guy but I do love the Rock Band games, they are fun. And the Beatles game should really take it to the next level.

The graphics and game play look really awesome from the previews I've seen. Even if you're not a big video game person, I'd give the Beatles Rock Band a try if you're a fan of the band. It promises to be great fun. - 18424

How To Move Music From iPod to iTunes

By Johnathan Demay

While it's very common to download music from CDs or the iTunes Store from your computer to your iPod, many people would also like to transfer their music from their iPod back to their computer. Despite this being a very useful feature, Apple decided to not include this function with iTunes.

Some believe that Apple is intentionally trying to prevent songs from being taken illegally. Imagine that you purchase a new computer, install iTunes, and attempt to transfer songs from your iPod to that new computer. What is it about this process that is unjust or crooked?

You also might want need to transfer your iPod music to your own laptop or computer at work.

Sadly, iTunes on your new computer has been set to instinctively replace your current iTunes library. Because of this, an unused, empty iTunes library will take the place of all of your music in your present iPod library. This is crazy!

Needless to say, people quickly figured out how to bypass this bad situation. You need to choose 'no' when you're asked if you want to 'auto-sync' your iTunes and your iPod.

The next step would be removing particular files from the iTunes folder within your computer, revealing your hidden files, moving the file "iPod Control folder" along with your iPod music to another place for protection, and finally generating a new iPod Control folder. There were additional steps involved, but I think you understand.

To avoid this very aggravating scenario or the complicated process necessary to avoid losing all of your music, third party vendors intervened and established some very helpful software.

Three programs that were created to aid you in easily transferring your iPod music to your iTunes library are iPod 2 iTunes, PodMaxx, and Tune Tools.

You can also copy playlists and videos to your computer from your iPod, for a small cost. Each of these programs includes features that iTunes hasn't yet included in their own software. These programs cost around $25 to $30, which is much cheaper than finding that your iPod library has been deleted! - 18424

All About Pro DJ CD Players

By Nik Levesque

It does not matter if you are a professional DJ or you just want to get into the groove of mixing music on your spare time. Acquiring your very own pro DJ CD player should really help you get your creative juices flowing in all the right frequencies. Although there are some music mixing enthusiasts who still prefer the Old School routine of scratching tunes using turntables and vinyl records while injecting their own electronica jazz; more and more people are discovering the advantages of these pro DJ CD players. Some of these advantages include: portability, stored music capacity, ease of use, and even costs.

Portability is the number one reason why people are lining up to get their hands on this gizmo. Unlike conventional sound systems and turntables, you do not need to have boxes of vinyl records and CDs at your feet while doing your thing. You also do not have to lug around your turntable or other mixing paraphernalia as well. This gizmo is actually making it easier for mobile DJs to take in more gigs, without the usual hassle of physically moving (and potentially damaging) valuable equipments. Additionally, these players have enough memory capacity to record your entire vinyl record library and more. Since the pro DJ CD player usually plays CDs and MP3, you can switch from one music type to the other effortlessly.

When it comes to ease of you, the pro DJ CD players should be as simple as popping a disc in a CD player. Only this time, you should also have a responsive turntable at your disposal. There are no complicated switches here, or a step-by-step operational manual. You can literally start your own spin in less than a few minutes. And if you find this player on the hefty side of the bargain, you might consider the fact that you will eventually save money down the line. You can download music from the World Wide Web easily; and you do not have to worry about getting separate players for different music types. At the same time, you can upload your own mixes and sell them online. Since you now have the proper equipment, you can even go pro, if you haven't already. If you are thinking about seriously laying some hard-earned cash on this gizmo, here are some tips on how to find the best deal.

1. What music type can the gizmo accommodate? Regular music CDs are the norm, as well as MP3s. However, there are also some players who carry CDRW software too. If you need CDRW stored music for your music list, then try to scrutinize product specifications carefully. Not all players carry this capacity. Try to also see if you can play a succession of different music types without jarring or delaying. And a CD burning option would be a wonderful addition as well.

2. Does the gizmo allow you to scratch and spin music just like your vinyl turntable? Real time scratch capability is one of the most important features you need to consider. Some of the cheaper brands have 2 to 5 second delay, which is not really a great thing. Additionally, there are also some brands that may have turntable features but these do not feel or work like the ones you normally use. The higher end brands will have real time scratch capacity and feels like you are indeed spinning vinyl. - 18424

Ring Tones - Yeh Dil Maange More

By Sam Roberts

The words in the Pepsi advertisement jingle compiled for the Indian audience, literally translating to "the heart wants more" and most everyone's craze for new and varied ring tones are a perfect match. With the number of cell phone connections sky rocketing in India and the rest of the world, this is one craze that has very little chance of ebbing away. Not that I am one to complain, especially if the tune is one of Kishore Kumar's evergreen melodies! But I'd draw the line at some of the more bizarre tunes or so called tunes, like a baby crying or the sound of a 'fart' that some individuals insist on assaulting our eardrums with.

Some basic points about the ring tone:

1. It is the name given to the sound made by any kind of telephone, not just mobile phones, to announce an incoming call or text message. Most of these sounds, especially those that do not have a tune or are not customised, are not tones at all and should actually be called ring sounds.

2. The first telephones had a bell which made a 'ring'ing sound when struck by a hammer, operating electromagnetically, to announce a call. While this system is still common, most cell phones and modern land line phones have advanced from the ring to producing different kinds of sounds.

3. While receivers nowadays allow adjustments to the volume, there are many variations on offer regarding the type of ring tone - to allow differentiation between two or more instruments lying side by side. Specific customer requirements are also covered, such as for the hearing impaired.

4. Towards the late 1980s mechanical ring tones were slowly getting replaced by electronic ones progressing from single tones to those playing two, three or more tones and then on to melodies.

5. 1996 saw the advent of the customised ring tones on mobile phones, with some Japanese manufacturers offering a number of options, both customised and pre-recorded.

6. Downloadable ring tones were available from 1998 and this service has now become an enormously successful industry right across the globe.

7. Real tones, which are usually taken from popular songs, began to be distributed from late in 2002.

All the new music being generated by bands, composers, films, etc. number in the hundreds of thousands across the world. Marketing these as ring tones before or at the time of launch allows the tune to become popular and improve the prospects of it becoming a 'hit'. Ring tones are now available online, can be sent via sms or copied from a DVD or CD. A number of sites specialise in bringing the latest offerings to the consumer, sometimes the second it's out of the recording studio. There is a huge amount of financial turnover in this business, running into billions of dollars, because everyone would love to have only the latest and the best. Since I am no different from most others and want options for everything, my heart to get to have more . ring tones! - 18424
