A Surefire Way to Download Movies to Zune Successfully

By Davion Wong

If you think your Zune player is meant only for music downloading, you will be surprised to discover that you can also download movies to Zune. Nowadays, Zune is also getting a fair share of the market, along with other MP4 players. Before you can successfully download movies however, you need to familiarize yourself on the important steps first.

Normally, the movies you would transfer to your Zune are in DVD format. Since this format is not compatible with your Zune player, it is necessary that you find the right format for it, first and foremost. The WMV format is compatible with most of the music and movie players in existence nowadays, such as Zune.

Before you can download Zune movies, you will have to search for the needed conversion tools first. The good thing is that nowadays you will be able to get the conversion kits straight from the web. Some conversion software types are also sold in various land-based stores.

Most of the software types available for Zune movie downloads are typically used in transforming any kind of file into WMV files, which are well-suited for Zune players. Due to this, you are actually faced with more than a few choices. Nonetheless, you need to check them out first, for any disadvantages.

Often, the conversion will have to pass through two stages. The DVD will have to be converted first to AVI video format, before converting it again to the WMV format which is compatible with Zune. The procedure can be long, and is expected to require more disk space. If you want to convert more movies within a limited time, getting more specialized conversion software is important.

Picking A Wrong Acoustic Guitar - A Beginner's Disaster

By Arnetta F. Nielsen

Beginning guitarists sometimes experienced a lot of problems in their guitar journey and decided to quit. Some gave up because they never produced good musical tones with their guitar while others complained they could not take the pain.

Some people think that a budget acoustic guitar is good enough for beginners because if they decide to quit they don't lose much money. This maybe half true but sometimes people forget that beginning guitarists often stop playing because they feel they can't take the pain anymore without realizing that they picked up the wrong axes.

If you are thinking of buying a budget guitar make sure it meets the criteria below:

Warped neck is not acceptable. Press the thickest string on the 1st and 12th frets and look at the gap between the string and frets. A good neck will leave a small gap only between them.

Other important factor to check is the guitar playability. You should feel comfortable playing any chords at any places on the fretboard without difficulties or suffering muscle tension and fingers pain.

To find out an acoustic guitar with good playability you should measure the action. Take a measurement from the bottom of the thickest string to the top of the 12th fret. Ideally 3mm to 4mm distance is needed. For beginners this action setting will help a lot because it decreases the strings tension.

Never neglect the guitar intonation. Good intonation will give you in tuned notes at any fret on the fretboard. It is very common to find a cheap guitar with perfect strings tuning but when playing bar chords on the high numbered frets all you get is out of tune chords. This is related to bad intonation and you can't fix it. If you are in doubt take some measurement on certain frets with the help of a guitar tuner.

It is quite difficult to find cheap guitars that can meet those criteria, especially for beginners. Get an experienced friend to guide you in the guitar store and let him/her recommend some guitars for you to try. Choose one that feels right in your hand and don't pay attention too much on the guitar appearance. You don't need a fancy good looking guitar. It may fool you easily.

A budget guitar that meets the basic criteria above is worth buying. With very limited budget you can't expect much but you won't get a crap guitar either if you follow this guideline correctly. - 18424

Subscribe To An Online Guitar Course At Your PERIL... UNLESS You've Already Read This FREE Report The Pro's Don't want You To See!"

By Mike Jones

Here's how you can find out exactly what you should be looking for when choosing a guitar course. I am going to list most of the mistakes beginners make when looking through the mine field of courses available on the internet. You should have enough information be able to spot the good from the bad after reading this article.

You would be correct in your approach to selecting a guitar tutoring course that is available on the internet as it is the perfect medium to sift through the many that are available both online and offline. You have basically two choices to make:

Online or Offline?

In days gone by people only had one choice and that was to physically go to a guitar tutor to have some guitar lessons at their home or place of work or for them to come to you. In this modern day of technology and the internet we have numerous choices at our disposal but as stated it can be a mine field for the beginner and a costly mistake should you get it wrong!

We will start by going through the advantages and disadvantages of the two basic choices we have on offer and will hopefully help you in making the correct decision with regards to which type to go for. First up, online guitar lessons.

Online Guitar Lessons or Courses

What do we mean by an online guitar course? An online guitar course are a series of guitar lessons that are conducted purely over the internet where you either download the guitar lessons or view them as they are streaming. The problem with these type of courses is that the quality tends not to be as good as hard copy (DVD) type courses and if you do not have a super fast internet connection then they can take light years to download if you want real good, clear quality.

You will also find that is it quite hard to build up an archive of material that you can refer back to over and over again. With any guitar course you choose to go with, one of the major considerations is that you must be able to archive the material easily and be able to put your hands on a particular part of the course instantly should you wish to refer back to it at a later date. Also a good tip is to look for a REAL address. and telephone number, DO NOT go for any course that only gives you a PO Box as an address. A real address helps to confirm the company is legitimate and responsible

Offline Guitar Lessons or Courses

What are offline guitar lessons?

Offline guitar lessons or guitar courses are usually conducted by a live tutor. The tutor may come to your home but most conduct their lessons from either their place of work or home charging a fee for their services. Here lies two problems. The first being GOOD guitar tutors are like trying to find a needle in a haystack, they are few and far between. You can end up changing tutors every month or so which does you no good whatsoever. Finding the right tutor who suits you in your area can be a real nightmare and sometimes depending where you live almost impossible.

Another problem with live guitar tutors in my opinion is that most will give you only just enough information to keep you coming back and charge you as much as they can possibly get away with. Not the best scenario.

The Disadvantages of Going for Regular Guitar Lessons.

* Having regular live guitar lessons brings up another problem. You have to have your lesson at a predetermined time and place meaning the rest of your day has to work around it.

* Your tutor may not necessarily be into the type of music you love to play which means that you'll not enjoy your lessons as much as you could, which in turn means that your learning will not progress as quickly as it should.

* When learning to play an instrument you will come across something that you are not too sure about and need to ask a question or find the solution. With regular guitar lessons you will need to wait until your next lesson in order to get your questions answered. Ideally you want your answers NOW so you can get on with your progression and move to the next stage...

* A lot of people feel very nervous when playing back what they have learned that week to their tutor. They feel under pressure to get it absolutely spot on, when really they would perform at their best when in a relaxed atmosphere in their own surroundings...

So Where Does That Leave YOU?

Do not fear! There is an alternative to both these methods yet encompasses both.

The alternative is to have your lessons sent to you through the post on hard copy DVD. It is ordered over the internet allowing you to shop around WORLDWIDE and is then delivered through conventional post to your door. This method far outweighs the other two as it encompasses both, is of very high quality, you create an instant archive and lessons are given step by step in a chronological order by the same tutor.

So if this is my recommendation, which course do you choose???

Before choosing a course of lessons they MUST meet the following criteria:

* A FAST Structured Progression that is VERY EASY to follow and understand.

* A course of lessons created by someone who has a vast experience in the music industry, is a professional (gets paid for playing the guitar and hasnt got a job on the side), knows what he is doing and is not some wizz kid who has learned the guitar, played for about 3-4 years and trying to cash in and make a fast buck

* A course you can study and take part in, in a nice relaxed environment with no pressure put upon you, helping you to progress at lightning pace because you are in a cool, relaxed frame of mind.

* A course of lessons that you know you CAN afford and you know will be great value for money ensuring you'll not get ripped off.

* A Solid, Cast Iron, No Questions Asked, FULL Money Back Guarantee. Just ask your guitar tutor for your money back once he has given you your lesson! It's not repeatable what he'll say!!!

* A course of lessons that doesn't beat around the bush and gives you what you are looking for straight out of the tin bringing you on as fast as possible...

* Lessons that you can refer back to over and over again that will inspire and motivate you with audio, video, illustrations and downloadable teaching aids

* All The Fast Track Short Cuts That The Professionals DON'T Want You to Know.

My advice for anyone wanting to learn the guitar is take your time and do your research. There are many, many guitar courses out there some are very good and some very bad. Use the pointers Ive listed above and this should help you to sift through them to find one that suits your needs.

If there is another piece of advice I can give you it would be this:

Scour the internet and choose a course that you think will best suit your needs using the guidelines I have listed here. Make sure you're happy by sticking with the first two or three lessons then once happy stick with the course. DO NOT be tempted to change tutor or course. You will eventually get tuned into the tutors way of teaching and putting the course across speeding up your learning progression.

I hope you have found this article informative and I will be posting more in the future on Guitar Lessons taking the beginner through to advanced player in the shortest possible time. - 18424

Billy the Kid and Sir Elton

By James G. Pynn

The concert of a lifetime comes, well -- once in a lifetime. To that end, it would be tantamount to a crime to not get the word out that as you are reading this little bit of hullabaloo, Elton John and Billy Joel are on the same ticket and rocking in the free world. That's right -- on the same bill and even joining forces for some killer encores. Even if you are not a huge fan of what is now called "classic rock" you will definitely enjoy this audio and visual extravaganza.

The summer of 2009 is in full swing and as the nights get longer, the rocking gets louder. Behold, the rock gods are on the loose and Saturday night is all right for high-five-ing. If there was any doubt, you can be sure these men have not faded softly into middle-aged rock flaccidity. No sir. Billy and Elton are in fine form and belting them out better than ever. Just check out your local arena and feel the power.

Is it already the Fourth of July? Not quite. What you are witnessing is Billy and Elton blasting the roof off of Wrigley Field. Not only are you guaranteed to have the tuna salad rocked out of you, but never forget these giants bring with them a formidable pyrotechnics display. That's the kind of combined firepower legendary concerts are made of. Not since chocolate and peanut butter has there been a better combining of forces.

This is some kind of cosmic alignment! How often do two rock gods jump on the same ticket? The Rocket Man meets the Piano Man. Forget about it. All the major cities are on the slate for these rock and roll generals as they bring in the noise to North America. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime event. Don't disappoint your grandchildren, instead give them a great story and book your tickets.

To be sure you can wait until the last minute and hit up the scalpers for tickets five-times their worth, or you can book online, securely and worry about something more important -- like finding a good parking spot. You would be better off commuting, if possible. Either way, without a set of sweet tickets there's no point to even showing up. Get you tickets and get your rock on before the shows all over. - 18424
