Should You Get Singing Lessons And Why?

By John Roberts

Becoming a great singer is not about just having natural talent and making it work for you. You will also need to practice a lot and take singing lessons. You might have a truly amazing voice that does not sound like it needs training, but taking lessons will actually give you an advantage and help you to achieve your goals faster.

One of the reasons that singing lessons will help you is when it comes to the control of your voice. Even if you have a perfect tone and pitch, you will still struggle to control them and hold your notes if you don't have professional training and understand the correct breathing methods.

The scales are another reason you should get singing lesson. Even if you have a good voice, you may be throwing your voice all over the scales, so learning the scales will help you control that part of your voice too. You will need to have absolute control of all aspects of your voice if you are to be great.

With singing lessons you also have the ability to focus on a certain style of singing. Opera is one of the hardest to master and you will need lots of professional training to get good at it. Your singing teacher will give you plenty of different exercises to help you with any style you want.

Training is opera is a bit harder than singing any other style of singing, because you will have to learn a new way of sounding your words, and moving your mouth. Most of the time you will need to learn a new way of breathing if you are going to be a good opera singer.

Once you have started singing training you will be surprised at how quickly you improve and how much you learn about yourself and about how you sing. Being able to analyze your singing is the first step to being a good singer. Another thing that you will learn from taking lessons is how to add more personality and color to your songs instead of just reciting words in key. - 18424

A Quick Guide To iPod Battery For Your iPod Nano 8GB

By James Logan

iPod battery life is essential for many users. Once an iPod battery wears out, it is not easily replaceable by users. That's true, to a point, as the battery is lithium based; although it can be recharged up to 500 times, it does degrade over a period of time.

Moreover, because the iPod battery is soldered to the iPod Nano 8GB case, many users that own the device would rather not attempt to switch the battery on their own. Did Apple actually create the iPod Nano 8GB to be a expendable digital audio player? No. Apple designed the iPod Nano 8GB to last a long time.

As with all lithium based batteries, the iPod battery can't be expected to last more than two years. This nets the user hundreds of charges; however, at some point, the lithium battery will not work. Users cannot change the battery the way they can with other digital devices.

This is because the iPod battery is soldered into the iPod Nano 8GB case. The situation this dilemma created caused untold frustration to iPod Nano 8GB users, who were quickly offered an substitute by 3rd party manufacturers who agreed to either replace the iPod battery or sell users a do it yourself kit. Owners of the iPod Nano 8GB may prefer to ship their device to Apple for iPod battery replacement.

Users may also be interested in how to make their iPod battery last longer; tips can be found on the Apple website. Want to make your iPod battery last longer? Read on: An iPod battery operates at its best when the iPod Nano 8GB is at room temperature, between 0 to 35 C (or 32 to 95 F).

You should never leave your iPod Nano 8GB inside a car. You should never expose your iPod Nano 8GB to direct sunlight. When unattended, click the Pause. Take advantage of the Hold function the iPod Nano 8GB offers if you will not be using it for even a few minutes.

Your iPod will continue to play if the hold button is not pressed. Always turn off your iPod when not in use to save battery life. Most of the time, you will not need back lighting.

Always using back lighting will drain your battery faster than anything. Turn off back lighting when you do not need it. Under the Settings menu, choose Back light Timer, then select Off. You should be aware that even when you're not using your iPod Nano 8GB, the battery is still working.

While your iPod Nano 8GB is sleeping, the battery is still fully awake, and loses a small amount of current. By ensuring your iPod is used and stashed away at room temperature, you can significantly limit the amount of battery current being used. By doing this, the battery in your iPod can last as long as 28 days. - 18424

Two Words to the Wise About Free Music On Hold

By Tim Holdon

Free Music On Hold. No, Im not talking about some kind of civil rights cause. Im talking about your wise decision to put yourself in your customers shoes and to try to enhance their calling and on-hold experiences. A couple of words of caution, however.

First, make sure you cover yourself legally by using only music that you are licensed to use. Do some web searches for music on hold copyright, etc. There are strict laws governing use of virtually any material " music or otherwise " which has been written, recorded, or produced by someone else. These laws are actively enforced, and substantial fines are levied against violators.

Second, if you dont have the budget for a professionally produced on-hold music and message production, free hold music is a good first step, but do your best to make it sound as professional as possible. Find the best quality music you can and play it on the highest quality player that you can afford. Take a hard look at your phone system. Is the sound quality of calls clear " both for callers on hold and when connected to an extension on the phone system (i.e., when talking to someone in your office)? Call in to your business from several different outside telephone numbers and listen to the quality of the sound of the phones when someone answers the call as well as the quality of the on-hold sound. It shouldnt be noticeably scratchy or tinny sounding. It should be reasonably clear and you shouldnt have to strain to hear.

Nothing about the experience should be distracting or annoying. If it is, go through the system piece by piece and identify and upgrade the offending elements. I.e., if there is bad sound quality the problem may be in the music player or in the phone system " or it could be in the phone line or the wiring between the demarc (point of demarcation) and your phone system. That is, it could be somewhere between the phone lines out on the street and your building or it could be somewhere in the building.

Make the calling and on-hold experience a pleasant one, and make it as easy as possible for your customers to be impressed with your professionalism. Just make sure you cover your legal bases in the process. - 18424

First-time iPod Nano 8GB User? A Quick Guide on Cases

By Henry H Logan

A large and diverse market exists for the iPod Nano case, which was designed to protect your iPod Nano 8GB from marks, dust, dirt, and other elements that may damage the MP3 player. iPod nano cases also protect the color screen and the click wheel. Most of the cases in the market have a built in cover that you can flip up to cover the front screen.

So, which is the best iPod Nano case? Choose your iPod Nano case cautiously as you want to protect your iPod Nano 8GB but you also want to be able to get to all the controls.

The best cases for Fashionable users are those that are silicon based and made by iPod nano experts like: iSkin, Speck, and iCandy. Not only will your iPod Nano 8GB be protected from dirt, dust, and grime, but it will have a designer feel as well, no matter where you go. One of the most important features of an iPod case is that it is easy to grip and wont slip from your fingers.

Be prepared to shell out more money for a silicon iPod Nano case than you would for the hard plastic version, as quality comes with a price tag to match in most cases. While certainly not as fashionable, the truth is that hard, plastic cases will still protect your iPod Nano 8GB from scratches and dirt.

You may still be able to find an affordable iPod Nano case; often, the increased price tag has everything to do with fashion and nothing to do with the actual quality of the case. For just a few dollars, you can purchase a plastic iPod Nano case that comes bundled with options to allow you to wear your iPod Nano 8GB around your neck or clipped to your belt.

Of course, there are disadvantages of opting for the less costly, hard plastic iPod Nano case as you will forego the non-slip material that silicon offers. You should also realize that this type of iPod Nano case could actually shatter when dropped.

If you think black and ultra white are elegant, you should check in e-stores where a collection of Italian leather iPod nano cases are showcased. A leather iPod Nano case is ideal for users who like quiet elegance and who want to ensure their iPod Nano 8GB is protected while able access to all features and ports.

No need to leave your iPod Nano 8GB behind when you go to the beach or pool when you opt for a waterproof case from H2O Audio. The case is very thin, waterproof and has a transparent exoskeleton for the click wheel. You'll quite a bit for this iPod Nano case but it may be worth it if you spend a lot of time in the water. - 18424
