Choosing Games for PS3

By Jack Thompson

With console gaming, one does not only want the best graphics and processor for their system, to give them the ultimate gaming experience. What it all comes down to is having a good selection of games available that the gamer can really enjoy.

If you are the owner of a PS3 gaming system, you are most likely thinking of what kinds of games to buy to have fun with your gaming unit and to experience the various advancements that the PS3 has to offer. They have powerful processors that are fitted with multiple core chips, enhanced motion sensitive console, and awesome graphics.

For you to uncover the best games that are suited for your PS3, the best approach is to return to the basics of the gaming console itself - which will let you discover its strong points and its weak points to lead you to the perfect game.

In regards to gaming, one of the strengths of the PS3 is the much-anticipated Reality Synthesizer Graphics Processing Unit. This new GPU has been created in joint effort with one of the biggest leaders of the graphic processing industry, Nvidia. This means that one gets images that seem like they come from the real world. Games that simulate reality such as the Getaway 3 will look spectacular in the PS3.

Other games that are well-suited to the PS3 are those that require sensitive gaming consoles. In keeping with the developments in the gaming world, Sony reformulated its console from the Dual Shock Controller to the Sixaxis controller. The shock that has irked many users has been removed and replaced instead with a controller that can detect six motion types. This means that you have greater control over your game.

With a Sixaxis controller, you can play racing games with a new and improved capability to use your own movements as control for the game. Therefore, when you shift your controller to the left it will move your virtual steering wheel in the same direction.

Knowing the basics of how to select the best PS3 game for yourself, you can now examine some of the most favored games of other gamers. Grand Theft Auto IV is one of the most popular games played on the PS3. One of the biggest improvements is the changed Liberty City, which looks better visually than in previous game versions.

In addition, this game comes with multi-player capabilities that lets up to sixteen different players race through the city. The story line is much better than in the previous version, and now includes a well-written script that is very humorous.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is another of the best games that can be played on your PS3. The game comes with a great shooting and stealth mechanics that allows players to really immerse themselves in the game. Also, the game comes equipped with one of the most compelling storytelling that a game has yet to present, and is equipped with excellent audio and visuals.

With these hints, you can choose the most excellent and suitable games that the PS3 has to offer, and really enjoy your gaming experience. - 18424

How To String A Guitar - Read These 5 Tips for Maximum Success

By Jon J Tan

Changing the guitar string is a very important step in learning how to maintain your guitar. There is no reason why you should pay somebody to string a guitar for you when you can do it yourself easily. Changing a guitar string is a very straightforward process and the risk of damaging your guitar is very low. Here are 5 tips to help you do it correctly:

1. Use the correct guitar string. Stringing your guitar with the wrong kind of string will result in irreversible damage to your guitar. Different materials are used to make strings for different kinds of guitars. For example, acoustic and electric guitars are strung with metal based strings while classical guitars are strung with nylon based strings.

2. Buy the correct tension of guitar string. For all kinds of guitar strings, there are different tensions. This might be indicated as a number known as "gauge". The higher the guitar string gauge, the higher the tension. For beginners, I recommend low tension strings, which have a lower gauge to make it easier to play.

3. Change the guitar strings one by one. It is important to change the guitar strings one by one, rather than removing all the strings before replacing them. This helps to preserve the tension of the guitar neck and the rest of the guitar to reduce the probability of guitar damage.

4. Buy a string winder. A string winder will significantly cut down the time to string a guitar and is a valuable tool for any budding guitarist. If you want to get back to playing as soon as possible, it is best to use a string winder.

5. Do not cut your strings before tuning. The strings of the guitar have the tendency to slip slightly during the string change process. Because of this reason, it is highly recommended to tune your guitar up to pitch before you cut the strings. If you don't follow this process you might find that the strings might slip off the guitar before you are done. - 18424

A Guide To Buying Surround Sound Speakers

By Dave Heebs

If you are building out a home theater system to entertain your guests, you will want to maximize the home movie experience as much as possible. This means getting the best quality components that you can. One component that most people overlook is the speaker itself. Speakers can be very expensive if you want top of the line quality.

Millionaires don't need to comparison shop. The rest of us do. When looking to purchase anything we typically have to fit the item into our budget and in doing so will sometimes have to sacrifice quality for price. Fortunately for us, when buying stereo equipment, the speaker is the component that allows us to go down in price without sacrificing too much in quality.

The biggest factor is going to be your budget. There is no use looking at speakers that you have no hope of being able to buy. Your time is precious and researching and looking at speakers in your price range will save you valuable time that is more useful being spent narrowing your list of speaker candidates down.

You will then need to take stock of your requirements for the system. If you have some components that will only work with certain speakers then this will narrow down the list of possible speakers to choose from.

Now that you have established how much money you have and the requirements for your theater system, your next move is to research all fo the models that fit both of these pre-requisites. This research will get you a list of speakers to choose from.

You will want to read all of the reviews possible on the speakers that you have identified on your list. These reviews will help you find the right speaker for you by getting expert opinions as well as opinions from people who are currently using these speakers in their homes. The best choice is to look for speakers with good performance and sound quality and are backed by a good warranty.

In order to set up a surround sound theater, you should purchase five speakers. This way you have enough speakers so you can setup them up in a circle around the audience.

Purchasing the right speakers for your home theater system does not have to be the equivalent of going to the dentist. If you take it one step at a time and make sure you stay within budget and do your research, your results will be very rewarding. - 18424
