See The Emotional Attractiveness And Advantages Of Movie Enjoyment

By Domenic Bray

Motion pictures are good entertainment but they can also be very advantageous for our mental health. Motion pictures allow us to take some time to calm down and get away from our day by day problems and concerns. We are able to let go of our everyday cares as we get caught up in the lives we are viewing on film.

Thief of Baghdad - Reeves looks for the elusive blue rose so he could wed the Sultan's baby girl. This is nothing like the Sabu version, although this is a good piece of work. Cast includes Steve Reeves, Giorgia Moll, Arturo Dominici, and Edy Vessel. (90 minutes,'61)

Gun the Man Down - Injured outlaw vows vengeance on cronies who left him in the midst of a stickup gone badly. Cast includes James Arness, Angie Dickinson, Robert Wilke, and Emile Meyer. (78 minutes,'56)

Down to You - Prinze and Stiles futilely try to buddy us up by talking straight away into the camcorder, expounding how their once pleasant college romance went bust (albeit not as bust as the film). In someway, this motion picture manages to find room for subplots in reference to a Television show and a friend who has a try as an adult-film entrepreneur with a sort of bohemian familiar porn actress. Cast includes Freddie Prinze, Jr., Julia Stiles, Shawn Hatosy, Selma Blair, Zak Orth, Ashton Kutcher, Rosario Dawson, Henry Winkler, and Lucie Amaz. (91 minutes, 2000)

Seize the Day - Williams is momentous as Tommy Wilhelm, turning 40 and a failure by any standard, he is insolvent, damaged and hopeless for love. Wiseman and Stiller offer fine assistance as his cold hearted dad and a con man he naively believes in. Lots of recognizable faces in tiny roles - Tony Roberts, Richard Shull, John Fiedler, Jo Van Fleet, William Hickey, Eileen Heckart, and numerous others. Cast includes Robin Williams, Joseph Wiseman, Jerry Stiller, and Glenne Headly. (93 minutes,'86)

Heartbreakers - Cast includes Peter Coyote, Nick Mancuso, Carole Laure, Max Gail, James Laurenson, Carol Wayne, Kathryn Harrold, and Jamie Rose. Moody, seductive movie in regards to 2 male friends, avant-garde performer Coyote, second-generation businessman Mancuso wishing for artistic and sensual contentment and trying to interpret their relations with others. Personal, infrequently observational motion picture asks for personal responses. (98 minutes,'84)

Night Nurse - Extraordinary, hard story of nurse (Stanwyck) who could not disregard peculiar goings on in home where she works. Blondell adds zingy support and it is one of Gable's most remarkable early appearances. Cast includes Barbara Stanwyck, Ben Lyon, Joan Blondell, Clark Gable, Charlotte Merriam, and Charles Winninger.

So whether you know it or not, when you sit down and let go and enjoy a wonderful film you are doing yourself a good turn. You are permitting yourself to calm down and dream, flee your own troubles and take pleasure in some serene downtime and you are also learning more about other individuals and the world we all live in. It is no wonder that movies are almost everyone's favorite source of entertainment. - 18424
