My Selection Of Choice Motion Picture Story Lines

In the past you had to go to a store if you wanted to rent or buy a movie. Now, with internet usage exploding, movie downloads are becoming very popular. Below is a sample of some of the movies you can find using movie download sites.

The Gay Divorcee: A top Fred Astaire flick froth with typical pointless structure and irregular lyrical numbers, containing Oscar-triumphing "Continental" and Cole Porter's "Day and Night." Rhodes is memorable as could-be correspondent in divorce case. Incidentally, the Broadway hit on which this was based was hailed The Gay Divorce, although the Hollywood Production Cipher disapproved. Cast includes Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Alice Brady, Edward Everett Horton, Erik Rhodes, Eric Blore, and Betty Grable. (107 minutes, 1934)

The Curse of Frankenstein: Alright retelling of primordial Shelley story, with Cushing as Tycoon von Frankenstein, whose testing with creation of life gets to be a fixation. This is the first of Mallet Films for a long-running terror succession. Cast includes Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Hazel Court, Robert Urquhart, and Valerie Gaunt. (83 minutes, 1957)

Eegah: In the desert near Palm Springs, a prehistoric mammoth Kiel falls in love with adolescent Manning. Arch Chamber, Jr., harmonizes the memorable "I Love You, Cast includes Arch Chamber, Arch Chamber, Marilyn Manning, Richard Kiel, and William Watters. (92 minutes, 1963)

Heartbreak Ridge: Eastwood is so entertaining to watch, as a hell raising occupation marine sergeant who beats a battalion of youthful initiates into condition, that he makes this unsurprising and protracted film work. However it's still pretty object stuff and takes longer to play out than the true invasion of Grenada it illustrates. Cast includes Clint Eastwood, Marsha Mason, Everett McGill, Moses Gunn, Eileen Heckart, Bo Svenson, Boyd Gaines, Mario Minivan Peebles, and Arlen Dean Snyder. (130 minutes, 1986)

Fanny: Marius Fresnay forgets about Fanny Demazis with his youngster; with Cesar Raimu playing Cupid, she weds Panisse Charpin. Second of Marcel Pagno's alluring trilogy, anteceded by Marius and followed by Caesar. All 3 were the structure of the play and film Fanny l961. Cast includes Raimu, Pierre Fresnay, Charpin, Orane Demazis, and Alida Rouffe. (120 minutes, 1932)

Hired-To-Kill: A Mercenary poses as a gay clothes maker to spring insurgent leader "Ferrer from Latin American jail. His commando squad with six attractive ladies posing as style models is impressive. Well generated, although awesomely stupid. Cast includes Nico Mastorakis, Peter Rader. Brian Thompson, Oliver Reed, George Kennedy, Jose Ferrer, Michelle Moffett, Barbara Lee Alexander, Jordana Capra, Kendall Conrad, Kim Lonsdale, Jude Mussetter, and Penelope Reed. (91 minutes, 1990)

Crimson Tide: The USS Alabama has been put to sea. A Russian nuclear submarine is now in the hands of a rebel faction of the old Soviet Union. An order to attack has come down from high command. With the threat of WWIII in the balance, the Captain, and the Lt. Commander disagree on the best course of action to take.

Black Hawk Down: The incredible true story recounting the events in Somalia. U.S. soldiers were supposed to be on the ground for only an hour. Things went wrong, and before it was over, 18 U.S. soldiers were dead, and so were hundreds from Somalia.

Ice Age: In this animation comedy we find ourselves viewing the blight of the animals as the ice age is descending upon them. An unlikely quartet of animals, Manny the wooly mammoth, Sid the sloth, Diego the saber toothed tiger, and Scrat the prehistoric squirrel, must find their way to warmer places before the ice age ends their lives. They battle the element, and devious attacks form other animals to try and survive the ice age.
