Seize the Day - Williams is stellar as Tommy Wilhelm, turning 40 and a disappointment by any standard, he is penniless, damaged and hopeless for love. Wiseman and Stiller offer fine support as his cold hearted dad and a con man he naively believes in. Lots of recognizable faces in tiny roles - Tony Roberts, Richard Shull, John Fiedler, Jo Van Fleet, William Hickey, Eileen Heckart, and numerous others. Jack of Diamonds - Hamilton plays a cat burglar who steals gems from Baker, Gabor, and Palmer, who are "special guests" in this movie. Avoid this one and wait for "To Catch a Robber" to be shown. The Manchurian Candidate - A modern day rendering of the 1962 motion picture. Decorated war hero Raymond Shaw is now in place to become the Vice President of the US. His Mother, Senator Eleanor Shaw is pulling all the political strings. A quandary is developing for her plans. Major Bennett Marco, a member of Raymond's platoon is beginning to doubt the events of the day Raymond saved the platoon. Marco is battling an uphill battle, but cannot resist the pesky feeling that something is not right.
South Sea Women - Gloomy island storyline of love and dishonesty with Cadet Lancaster kindling the fire with Mayo. Cast includes Burt Lancaster, Virginia Mayo, Chuck Connors, Arthur Guards, and Paul Burke. (99 minutes, 1953)
House of the Black Death - Wizard keeps individuals prisoner in a menacing older home; dreadfully dragged out, poor grade material. Cast includes Lon Chaney, Jr., John Carradine, Andrea King, and Tom Drake. (80 minutes, 1965)
The Gene Krupa Story - Ordinary rendition of awesome jazz drummer's life, his ups and downs, and his fight with pill dependency Cast includes Don Weis, Sal Mineo, Susan Kohner, James Darren, Susan Oliver, Yvonne Craig, Lawrence Dobkin, Red Nichols, and Buddy Lester. (101 minutes, 1959)
Danny Boy - Ambitious although arrogant, inexorably dull melodrama of sax player Rea, who trades his sax for a gun after observing a triple murder. This was Jordan's directorial introduction, which he as well did the screenplay. He and leading guy Rea later reteamed for The Weeping Game. (92 minutes, 1982)
The General - One of Keaton's top silent films, setting comedy divergent to real Civil Battle tale of a stolen train, and Union spies. Not as whimsical as other Keaton films, though beautifully complete. Cast includes Buster Keaton, Marion Mack, Glen Cavender, Jim Farley, and Joseph Keaton. (100 minutes, 1984) - 18424
