10 Extraordinarily Popular Flicks For Your Amusement Fun

By Fred Ortiz

Find a great movie and download it straight to your computer so you can view it whenever you fancy! Like Water for Chocolate - Striking and sumptuous film from a book by Laura Esquivel set in the early part of the 20th century - a youthful girl's life is conditioned by her somber and obstinate mom, who treats her terribly. Magnificent storyline, not without humor, with an outstanding cast and a top of the line performance from lead actress Cavazos. Cast includes Lumi Cavazos, Marco Leonardi, Regina Tome, Mario Ivan Martinez, and Ada Carrasco. (113 minutes, 1992)

Holiday in Mexico - Involving, well cast lyrical comedy of baby girl of ambassador dropping for acclaimed musician. Cast includes Walter Pidgeon, Ilona Massey, Roddy McDowall, Jose Iturbi, Xavier Cugat, and Jane Powell.

Mamma Mia - Sophie is about to get married. Her single mom has invited her two best lifelong friends to the wedding. Sophie has invited three men from her mothers past, wanting to find her father, and have him walk her down the aisle. Old romances are reborn during the chaotic day before the wedding.

The Seniors - 4 college students open a fake sex hospital, which mushrooms into a multi million dollar corporation. The movie is both stupid and sarcastic, with some harmless nudity thrown in. Cast includes Jeffrey Byron, Gary Imhof, Dennis Quaid, Lou Richards, PrisciIla Barnes, Alan Reed, Edward Andrews, Robert Emhardl, and Alan Hewitt.

Xander 'XXX' Cage has been brought in by NSA agent Gibbons to help him with an urgent matter. He must help the MSA bring down a Russian crime ring, or face jail time. Agent Gibbons needs an unidentified person with incredible skill and talent to get inside the organization. Is XXX the right man for the job?

Repossessed - Here's a fashion spoof of The Exorcist, with Blair herself as a housewife acquired anew by the identical demon she was purged of as a child. Too few gags, too plentiful targets, and a paltry finale make this movie weak. Blair and Nielsen as the exorcist are good. Cast includes Linda Blair, Ned Beatty, Leslie Nielsen, Anthony Starke, Lana Schwab, and Thom Sharp.

Zoolander - Male model Derek Zoolander is employed to help stop a group of assassins who are posing as male models. He must somehow permeate this private group. Making things even more demanding is Hansel, a new, up and coming model, who keeps screwing things up for Zoolander.

Metropolitan - Characteristic comedy, full with sarcasm, is set throughout Christmas season, with hermit Clements drawn into small gang of friends, and out of his shell. Cast includes Carolyn Farina, Edward Clements, Christopher Eigeman, Taylor Nichols, Allison Rutledge-Parisi, Dylan Hundley, Isabel Gillies, Bryan Leder, Can Kempe, and Elizabeth Thompson.

The Last Seduction - Pathologically malevolent and strikingly sensual female ditches her spouse, steals the money he's made in a drug deal, and escapes N.Y.C. to a tiny upstate town where she attracts and bewilders a local gentleman who becomes her latest patsy. Fiorentino's spicy femme fatale makes Stanwyck in Triple Indemnity look like Snow White! The movie is a scorching, seductive thriller from contemporary film noir master Dahl and author Steve Barancik. Cast includes Linda Fiorentino, Peter Berg, J. T. Walsh, Bill Nunn, Bill Pullman, Michael Raysses, and Zach Phifer. (110 minutes, 1994)

China Moon - Tiny-town policeman Harris lusts after unhappily married Stowe in this moody film noir. A few nice twirls, although production is more than a tad analogous to the better Body Heat. This is a directorial debut for Bailey, more commonly known as a top cinematographer. Cast includes Madeline Stowe, Charles Dance, Benicio Del Taro, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Roger Aaron Brown, and Patricia Healy. - 18424
