Watch A Good Motion Picture Tonight, Check Out These Good Motion Picture Possibilities

By Marta Mclaughlin

Wonderful reviews of some of the best films that you may choose from starting here. Skyscraper Wilderness - Fred's a pilot on leave who meets photographer Leslie; Benchley's supper talk, Astaire's "One for My Infant" and "My Beaming Hour" make it come together. Cast includes Fred Astaire, Joan Leslie, Robert Benchley, Robert Ryan, and Elizabeth Patterson.

House on Haunted Hill - Zillionaire Price offers group of folks $100,000 each if they'll survive a night in a spooky old mansion with a haunted history. Cast includes Vincent Price, Carol Ohmart, Richard Long, Alan Marshal, Elisha Cook, Carolyn Craig, and Leona Anderson.

Shooter - Retired Marine Corp Sniper Bob Lee Swagger is asked to travel to Washington, to help pursue another sniper that will try to execute the President. What happens to him next is a complete shock. The same US government people that he is helping are in reality setting him up to take the fall for the shooting. He somehow escapes when he is shot, and is now on the run. He is also set to fight back.

The Gorgeous Hussy - Megastars fill the cast list in this fictionalized historical drama of Peggy O'Neal, President Andrew Jackson's surreptitious lover. The cast is delightfully costumed in well assigned settings. The film is based on the story by Samuel Hopkins Joyce. Cast includes Joan Crawford, Robert Taylor, Lionel Barrymore, Franchot Tone, Melvyn Douglas, James Stewart, Alison Skipworth, Beulah Bondi, and Gene Lockhart.

Faces - Highly personal drama in regards to frequent infidelities is one of the few Cassel motion pictures to become a big hit. Here is a strong motion picture with awe-inspiring action, particularly by Carlin and Cassel. Cast includes John Marley, Gena Rowlands, Lynn Carlin, Seymour Cassel, Fred Draper, and Val Avery.

Bolt - This is a cartoon family adventure film about Bolt, a dog actor. On his TV series Bolt is an action super hero. When he is by accident shipped to New York, he thinks his super powers will get him home. He teams up with, Mittens the cat, and Rhino the hamster, and attempts to get back to Hollywood.

In Enemy Country - So-so designer of WW2 enthrall, set in France and England, filmed on a back-lot. Not very persuading. Cast includes Tony Franciosa, Anjanette Comer, Guy Stockwell, Paul Hubschmid, Tom Bell, and Emile Genest.

The Geisha Boy - Jerry, an inept warlock, travels to Japan with catastrophic repercussions. Inventive graphic gags; there is a clever pattern characterizing the Los Angeles Dodgers and, in particular, Gil Hodges. Cast includes Jerry Lewis, Marie McDonald, Sessue Hayakawa, Nobu McCarthy, Suzanne Pleshette, Barton MacLane, and Robert Hirano.

Frontier Hellcat - Another Karl Winnetou story, which grabs the essence of the Old West in the quest of pioneers passing through Rockies. Cast includes Stewart Granger, Elke Sommer, Pierre Brice, and Gotz George.
