Superlative platform for Tom and Nicole, who are both attractive and involving; the problem is a drastic absence of good dialogue to fill the gaps between fight scenes. Cast includes Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Thomas Gibson, Robert Prosky, Barbara Babcock, Cohn Meaney, and Rance Howard. (140 minutes, 1992)
The Priests Wife: Hardly amusing blend of drama and humor with Loren as a disenchanted singer who imagines she could persuade pastor Mastroianni to acquire discharge from his promise of celibacy and wed her. Weightier addressing of this topic might be heard on talk shows. Cast includes Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni, Venantino Venantini, Jacques Stany, Pippo Starnazza, and Augusto Mastrantoni. Juno: Juno is a smart young girl facing a huge dilemma. She is pregnant. Wanting the best for the child she strives to find a fitting set of parents for her baby. With the support of loving parents, Juno tries to deal with coming of age before her time.
Starsky and Hutch: Starsky and Hutch are detectives in the Bay City police department. These two are undercover cops back in the 70's. Somehow these two total opposites combine to make a great detective team.
8 Percent Women: While a triumphant businessman is widowed, his child tries to help him through his misery by taking him on a sensual odyssey. The females range from a prior nun Collette to a horsewoman (Plummer) who wears a weird see through harness. Copious nudity couldn't keep this from being a massive bore. Cast includes John Sitting, Matthew Delamere, Vivian Wu, Shizuka lnoh, Barbara Sarafian, Manna Fujiwara, and Polly Stroller. (121 minutes, 1999)
