We all secretly dream to be superstars someday. Oh yes, the love for music and singing has have people constantly day dreaming of selling out quintuple platinum album and performing in sold out concerts in Madison Square Gardens. Enticing add-ons such as fabulous outfits, the mansions, cars, business enterprises, all entailed by such fortune also sound tempting. But in truth, it is not just the fame and the fortune that lures people into the idea of being singing sensations; the thought of doing what one does the best and love, especially actual dreamers seem to excite the world over.
Some say joining such contests will only give the contestants fifteen minutes to fame. That fame here is just short lived, that one will only be known in the span of time the contest ran, that these contests are just useless, it will yield to nothing, especially to those who repeatedly do not make it as winners or even as placers. But the truth about these contests, and other contests for that matter, is that they ultimately make the contestants tougher.
Actual participation to such contests is already tiring to contestants. Screenings are already grueling processes. For contestants to survive they have to deal with judges who would give them constructive but rather nasty criticism and all they have to do is swallow every word as if it is a big bitter pill and maintain the focus and drive without crumbling in the process. There are plenty lot of people out there who will constantly down them, and tell you them who they are and they have no other choice but to not get affected. Singing contests may seem to be a torture to contestants, with how it is perceived by the media, especially in television, but in truth, they are of biggest help to aspiring singers out there. Aspirants have to go through the eye of the needle to even emerge as winners.
Oh yes, before making it big elsewhere, most dreamers got their start from joining singing contests. Singing contests, whether big time competitions or small local ones, are considered the diving board of the millions of singing idol aspirants. Before producers can even get talents from big time record deals, these raw talents first get there test runs by joining singing contests. Abilities are honed from being part of such competitions. Nobody ever really describe singing contests as easy roads for success. As we know, these contests are gruesome as they are already. In this world full of talents, one has got to fight like hell to win it. Dreamers will know that they may not be the best but with hard work, drive and passion, they can work it out, and eventually be on top of their game.
