You should still be using the breathing style learned from the first exercise. You can always go back to that exercise if you lose the proper feeling. Spend about 10 minutes on the this exercise everyday, and you will begin to see improvements. Try to increase the amount of time that you can keep the paper against the wall.
The third exercise is call a slow leak. take a deep breath and make hissssss sound as you let air leak out from between your teeth like a snake. It should be barely audible. The idea is keep the flow of air constant. You do not want the hiss to waiver in volume or pitch. This will help you keep strong pitch when you are singing notes. This is the perfect car exercise. You should also try and do this as long as possible.
